
Project Engineering Manager

- Mentor and lead the project engineering team
- Apply best practice engineering principles in the design and evaluation of production equipment
- Responsible for the cost, schedule, resources, and time needed to complete assigned projects.
- Set priorities, assigns tasks, and coordinates project team to meet project targets.
- Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer needs.
- Facilitate team activities and carry out necessary functions while providing management with feedback and status reports to ensure that critical decisions are made in a suitable and timely manner.
- Must be able to show the ability to lead a team to demo and install equipment on production floor.
- Must have a 4-year Engineering degree minimum; Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
- Minimum 5-years of experience managing projects for the production floor (+5-years’ experience managing projects a plus)
- Must have excellent verbal, written, presentation, organizational skills (workflows and documentation), and attention to details
- Must be able to conduct project research, coordinate projects, and installation of new equipment – including weekends
- Must be initiative-taking and self-directed – able to work independently with a “production first” attitude
- Experience managing direct reports
- Experience is managing a capital/ spend budget
- Experienced AutoCAD user able to layout equipment and production cells and lines (Solid Works experience a plus)
- SAP experience a plus
