Performs business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining. Identifies trends and patterns in data and can explain business drivers or the “why” behind the data. Skills typically attained in a four-year degree plus the understanding and application of analytical tools and techniques that come with 5 - 10 years of experience including advanced MS office skills, advanced SQL, PowerBI, and exporting/building data models.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Gathers insight and performs routine and ad hoc reporting using various techniques (statistical analysis, data mining).
2. Frames unstructured problems
3. Performs data extraction/gathering, reconciling ambiguous data, and executes the hypothesis-driven approach.
4. Develops fact-based and actionable recommendations/presentations.
5. Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with a clear objective in mind
6. Proficiently design and develop algorithms and models to use against large datasets to create business insights
7. Make appropriate selection, utilization and interpretation of advanced analytical methodologies
8. Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical leaders and business customers/partners including preparing reports, updates and/or presentations related to progress made on a project or solution
9. Work with project teams and business partners to determine project goals and deliver productionized models and tools
10. Effectively develop trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teamsQUALIFICATIONS
