About The Job
Dudek is seeking an environmental compliance specialists with an emphasis in wetland delineations and permitting. The candidate will specialize in both performing wetland delineations and managing multi-disciplinary environmental services for infrastructure development projects. The individual will be self-driven with a proven track record of completing wetland delineations in multiple states along the east coast. The candidate will also have experience with permitting projects with multiple agencies and stakeholders, preconstruction processing, construction support and O&M services. Candidates that have technical expertise in managing projects to meet project milestones within schedule and budget expectations is essential for this position. The candidate will have a demonstrated track record with overseeing multidisciplinary staff and ability to work directly with clients. This position will be associated with our Florida or Virgina office but can be fully remote and will have opportunities to work on projects throughout the east coast.

  • Foster client connections through existing client relationships and proactive business development while working with others to anticipate and pursue work
  • Enhance Dudek’s professional reputation and demonstrate the ability to be creative and innovative with these tasks while representing Dudek in a professional manner.
  • Provides QA/QC of Dudek prepared work products and associated mentorship on methods and means to improve work products.
  • Manage projects that are fast-paced with changing requirements.
  • Lead permitting strategies by taking initiative to assure client expectations are being met.
  • Lead wetland delineations and reporting
  • Prepare entitlement packages, water permitting packages, technical reports, critical issues analysis and lead stakeholder outreach programs.
  • Lead the preparation, organization, and production of environmental compliance management plans, permit applications, and other environmental documents to guide compliance implementation during the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, or other related field
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment

  • As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong technical writing and research skills as well as solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
  • Self-motivated with an interest to learn and grow as a project team.
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience managing wetland survey teams for delineation requirements and mentorship of team members.
  • Experience with managing environmental resource specialists and managing large project teams.
