Through hands-on learning experiences, exploration, and play, children are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills, creativity, independence, and a love for learning.At Cyndie's Learning Thru Play we also value strong partnerships with families, recognizing parents as essential partners in their child's education and development. We pride ourselves, and our staff, in building lasting relationships with the families we serve.Duties
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Classroom Management: Create a nurturing and stimulating environment conducive to learning and growth.
  • Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress to add to portfolios to later be shared with child's parents.
  • Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on children's development and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about current research and best practices in early childhood education, participating in professional development opportunities as needed, and maintaining compliance with DCF professional development annual hours.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all children.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns, as required by program policies and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • Registry Level 3 or higher.
  • Must pass full background check.
  • Must clear health screening.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the needs of individual children and the classroom as a whole.
Nice To Haves
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (can be obtained upon hire)
  • SIDS training (can be obtained upon hire)
  • Mandated Reporter training (can be obtained upon hire)
  • Abusive Head Trauma training (can be obtained upon hire)
