Los Angeles, CA | Hybrid roleJob Summary: Westlake Financial Services is seeking a skilled and analytical Auto Auction Performance Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the performance of auto auctions used by Westlake Financial Services to ensure they meet or exceed expected standards and deliver optimal returns. This includes reviewing auction performance related to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for remarketing at auctions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical abilities, and the capacity to work independently to assess and improve auction operations.Responsibilities:
  • Performance Evaluation:
  • Assess and monitor the performance of auto auctions used by Westlake Financial Services, including pricing strategies, vehicle condition, auction fees, and other metrics.
  • Analyze auction data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct audits in accordance with Westlake Financial Services' Standard Operating Procedure for remarketing at auctions.
  • Audit Processes:
  • Conduct regular audits of auction practices and procedures to ensure compliance with Westlake Financial Services standards, including adherence to the SOP for remarketing at auctions.
  • Evaluate auction records, including sales transactions, to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Return Optimization:
  • Work to improve returns on vehicles sold at auction by analyzing pricing strategies and recommending adjustments to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with auction partners to negotiate terms and ensure Westlake Financial Services receives the best possible return on its vehicles.
  • Performance Reporting:
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on auction performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving returns and auction outcomes.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with auction partners and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Act as a liaison between Westlake Financial Services and auction houses to resolve any issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Quality Control:
  • Ensure that all auctions comply with Westlake Financial Services' policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations, including adherence to the SOP for remarketing at auctions.
  • Monitor vehicle condition and quality control processes to guarantee accurate representation at auction.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement within auction processes and operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of auction performance.
  • Special Projects:
  • Assist in special projects related to auction performance and optimization as directed by the Director of Operations.
  • Audit Processes:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in the auto auction industry or financial services sector, with a focus on performance auditing and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software, including Microsoft Excel and other relevant applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with auction partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative to drive results and meet targets.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
PAY RATE:
  • $80,000 to $90,000 per year
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
