- Manage day to day operations, overseeing both FOH and BOH staff.
- Implement strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales.
- Set daily motivational goals for staff to assist meeting sales goals.
- Create and edit menus collaborating with executive chef.
- Hire staff members.
- Ensure staff is trained properly according to their positions.
- Keep accounts and bookkeeping accurate and updated.
- Forecast and maintain inventory in a cost-effective manner.
- Order ingredients and equipment in correct quantities for restaurant staff.
- Open and close the restaurant on time.
- Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
- Comply with all OSHA mandated safety and sanitation regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate personally with guests regarding their meals and service.
- Handle customer complaints and problems.
- Ensure staffing levels are adequate for shifts. Oversee staff schedules.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, products, and equipment.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5+ years of management experience in the restaurant industry.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and bookkeeping software.
- Ability to manage all the financial aspects of running a profitable restaurant.
- Outstanding communication skills, including written and verbal.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of BOH restaurant management software and point of sale systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements
- Knowledge of human resources for hiring and maintaining staff.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Flexible schedule and available to work 40+ hours a week including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
