- Provide leadership for multiple aspects of controls including costs, planning, scheduling, engineering, supervision and management of personnel
- Manage large team members from multiple disciplines while demonstrating strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Lead projects from start up, project completion, including close-out process
- Establish and maintain customer relationships
- Identify issues and provide resolution to problems while analyzing risks and mitigating when possible
- Review and approve preliminary schedules, financial projections, update scope of work when needed while communicating with all team members of any changes
- Ensure project/program/construction rules and procedures are implemented and followed
- Coordinate with Safety Manager to ensure projects are completed in accordance
- Follow and successfully execute the program Quality Management System
- Review and develop contract documents in coordination with others
- Documents and reports all project data accurately and in a timely manner
- Develop process improvements when needed for efficiency and efficacy of project development and execution
- Management of scope, budget, schedule and risk of complex construction projects from its development to procurement and construction.
- Prepare presentations and present to executive governance committees for internal approvals.
- Manage customer projects including added and interconnection facilities, substation removals and any other projects that require customer coordination and contractor oversight.
- Lead EPC projects, and manage contractors during any phase of a project (development, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning). Compliance
- Manage project compliance and communication with public, environmental, and regulatory entities such as CPUC, CAISO, etc.
- Ensure close-out of projects and follow respective MPO policies and procedures.
- Follow safety and regulatory requirements. Process Improvements
- Support the development of any process improvements to expedite and efficiently manage construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical/civil )preferred
- Previous experience as a Project/Construction Manager
- Project management certification is preferred
- Deep understanding of project/construction management methods and processes
