- Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate intraoperative patient care plan
- Delivers perioperative patient centered care incorporating the nursing process while culturally sensitive and evidenced based care
- Maintains proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgery and serves as a resource for new information or changes to cardiovascular/cardiothoracic care
- Documents (electronic) of patient care and outcomes
- Works within the scope of practice and delegates according to Nurse Practice Act
- Participates in quality improvement activities and uses quality measures to understand individual and unit performance
- Pursues professional development and growth
- Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgery and serves as a resource for new information or changes to cardiovascular/cardiothoracic care
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Valid Maryland RN license or multistate compact license required
- Passing score on NCLEX
- Minimum one year of Registered Nurse experience required
- Minimum 1 year General OR experience required
- Minimum 2 years CVOR experience preferred
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificate preferred
- Certification in specialty once qualified
