As the Independent Living Skills Facilitator, you will teach independent living and transition skills to foster care youth, ages 16-21. You will provide case management that focuses on housing, stability, employment skills, and educational goals; with the goal of assisting foster youth to live successfully on their own. You will conduct a needs assessment looking at the educational, vocational, and basic life-skill goals for each youth in order to develop an independent living service plan. You will also meet with each client to monitor and evaluate their progress towards their individual plans. You will be providing ongoing case management for up to 27 youth at a time.To learn more about the Independent Living Skills Facilitator, please download the full job description below.The Riverfront Independent Living Program assists current and former foster youth, ages 14-23, to gain skills to help them transition into independent living. The program supports youth to create goals toward education, housing, employment, financial literacy, and other areas important to each youth.People who excel in this role have a minimum of two years working with at-risk, developmentally delayed, and/or youth in foster care. A bachelor's degree in social services or a related field is preferred but not required. You should have experience providing trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-directed services. Having a Qualified Mental Health Associates certification, or the ability to obtain one is preferred. You must have reliable transportation to drive to appointments as well as transport clients on occasions.You will be working with a diverse set of clients, from all different backgrounds. The hours are set at M-F 8am-4:30pm at a 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week)
