We more than doubled in size in every meaningful way: annual recurring revenue, the size of our customer base, and the size of our Gorgias team, for starters.We're still growing fast and looking for new teammates who want to grow with us.About the TeamGorgias is seeking a strong Revenue Accountant with extensive knowledge in ASC 606 and an affinity for process improvement within a fast pace organization. This role will work closely with the Controller and cross functional teams to ensure timely and accurate and reporting of revenue.About this RoleAs a Revenue Accountant, you'll ensure the accuracy and completeness of data in NetSuite, Stripe, and Shopify through meticulous checks. You will collaborate with the Revenue Operations team to address and resolve revenue accounting challenges effectively.You will collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.On a monthly basis, you will prepare and book the revenue entries within our financial reporting system. You will apply your knowledge in revenue accounting to perform revenue reconciliations on and analysis on financial information. You will focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition and help us reconcile Stripe and Shopify.You will collaborate closely with the executive, finance, and legal teams, to ensure compliance with all revenue, tax, regulatory and legal requirements.What You'll DoPerform regular completeness and accuracy checks on system reports to assist the team in meeting financial reporting deadlines. Ensure revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable journal entries adhere to GAAP accounting standardsStrong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgetingKnowledge of IFRS and GAAPConduct ad-hoc analyses, prepare financial statements and conduct reconciliations to drive strategic decision-makingEstablish and implement company-wide revenue accounting policiesAssist in documenting internal processes/controls as well as developing improvements as appropriatePrepare balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules, ensuring completeness and accuracy of applicable ledger accountsAssist with monthly financial results analyticsAssist with external audit and tax requestsConsistently evaluate areas for process improvement and automationWho You AreA degree in Accounting from a four or five-year college program; Master's Degree is a plus4+ years of relevant experience.
