Unit Paid Faculty teach additional courses on an as needed basisThe Department of Architecture, School of Architecture at the University of Virginia seeks applications to fill various non-tenure-track instructional Lecturer positions during the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.Specialized subject areas of particular need may include, but are not limited to: Studio, Seminar, Lecture, Intensive Short Course, Visualization, and/or Workshop. Qualified incumbents may be hired into one or more of the specialized areas (Undergraduate and/or Graduate Courses). Other duties may include, but are not limited to: organizing guest lectures, course-specific advising, developing or reviewing curricula, advising, guiding students in their research papers, grading, and/or organizing and leading field trips.Master's Degree in a relevant field is required. A relevant terminal degree is preferred but not required. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with prior university-level teaching experience. The qualified candidate should demonstrate professional and/or academic expertise in the specialized subject area, and provide evidence of teaching ability and experience which applies to students' achieving the goals and learning outcomes of the program.
