Driver Trainer Manager

- Accredited Relevant Training - Assessor & Moderator certificate and registration with TETA would be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years previous truck driving experience(New Generation Vehicles)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in training and coaching long-distance drivers
- In-depth knowledge of driver training principles, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English (speaking, reading and writing)
- Communication skills in IsiXhosa and Afrikaans advantageous
- Knowledge of TETA accredited training requirements would be an advantage
- Code EC (14) drivers license with no endorsements
- Valid PDP license
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the transportation industry
- Must have working knowledge/experience of Tautliner and Refrigerated Trucks
- Must have working knowledge/experience of Scania, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz manufactured vehicles

- Assist with the preparation and scheduling of training interventions
- Lead and manage a team of Driver Trainers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the success of each trainer
- Develop, implement, and enhance driver training programs to align with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Regularly review and update training materials, ensuring they reflect the latest industry best practices and technological advancements
- Monitor the performance of Driver Trainers through regular evaluations and feedback sessions
- Manage the allocation of Driver Trainers to meet training demands, considering geographic locations, types of vehicles, and specific training requirements
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, HR, and fleet management, to ensure alignment between training objectives and overall company goals
- Communicate regularly with senior management, providing updates on training performance and recommending improvements
- Report on all training interventions and submit documentation (incl. attendance registers, and driver assessment documentation) on a weekly basis
