- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Interview, hire, and train associates.
- Plan, assign, and direct work.
- Appraise performance.
- Address complaints and resolve problems.
- Build positive associate morale.
- Human Resource Management:
- Collaborate and partner with other departments related to compensation, benefits, risk management, and payroll.
- Employee Relations:
- Make recommendations to effectively resolve problems, ensuring compliance with employment standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions on employment, performance evaluation, and company policies.
- Coach management on employee relations and corrective actions.
- Partner with managers/supervisors on performance evaluation process and provide performance appraisals.
- Complete employee relations investigations.
- Legal Compliance:
- Respond to all legal requests related to employee relations.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to prepare for necessary mediations, arbitration, or other legal proceedings.Performs appropriate duties as assigned by managementWhat you need to succeed:
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies.
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines.
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets.
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates.
- Bachelor's degree/Bachelor's Art from four-year College or university; or 7 to 10 year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to make presentations to groups.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive HR experience
- Three (3) years Employee Relations and previous Human Resources supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to various Sales Centers throughout UNITED
- Frequent sitting, typing, and keying.
