College Station, Texas, United StatSCOPE/CONTACTS:Incumbent is accountable for providing the Bank Branch with sound, quality loan income, and has direct responsibility for Consumer and Real Estate lending activities, and is responsible for profitability, compliance to banking laws and regulations, and adherence to the Bank's policies and procedures. The officer is expected to perform in business development activities and must represent the bank well in a variety of social and community events.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Experienced Lender with specialty in Real Estate Lending.
  • Will be responsible for all types of direct loans including: HELOC, Home Improvement, Home Equity, Interim Construction, and Bridge Loans; which are consistent in quality to satisfy Bank standards for safety and profitability.
  • Must promote good customer relations and seek and develop quality new business including profitable depository accounts.
  • Building solid relationships with realtors, builders, and strong connections in the community is also important to be successful.
  • Incumbent is responsible for the sound extension or denial of credit to customers seeking loans on a direct or indirect basis and is accountable for the terms extended on such credit.
  • This position is guided by the Bank's policies, procedures and lending limits.
  • Incumbent will have direct supervisory responsibility. Will be expected to support other employees in the office.
  • Must actively participate in “Customer Service First” sales and service culture, support the values of the organization and follow established company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • This position requires a minimum of 5 years of Consumer Lending/Banking experience and a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Excellent communication and human relation skills also required.
  • Incumbent must have prudent judgment in decisions involving lending activities and in handling of customers, and employees.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
