Projects GroupTransocean is focused on being the employer of choice for the drilling industry.We are challenging ourselves every day to push the performance of the company through technological advances and passion for our work.Job Summary Develops the project scope definition and costs estimates, in direct support of the internal Marketing bid response for contract tendering and presents the Cost Workbook (CWB) to senior management as part of the technical evaluation/marketing bid project event. Establishes the project bid scenario, engineering, and technical scope requirements, with input from various internal and external stakeholders/departments including shipyards, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), regulatory authorities, and classification societies. Coordinates the engineering support related to the specific project scope items, define priorities, and expedites the marketing bid responses to ensure the upgrade and repair project costs estimate is prepared and delivered on time, to meet the demands the marketing tendering requirements.Job DescriptionKey Roles & ResponsibilitiesLeads the development of the marketing Cost Workbook, including but not limited to detailed Transocean (rig) scopes, customer scopes for the specific contract opportunity, labor/freight/shipyard services/fuel (G&A), mobilization and scheduling activities.Manage the internal Marketing bid responses/process, ensuring continuity with project duration/timeline estimates. Prioritize bid responses in order of Cost Workbook due dates and marketing tendering requirements.Lead the internal marketing bid “kick-off” and “follow-up” meetings, with all major stakeholders.Lead and manage the engineering/technical support requirements for all upgrade and repair projects across all the Engineering and Technical Services (E&TS) disciplines.Develop detailed engineering/technical scope tracking reports and ensure follow-up on the assign actions to meet project deadlines.Organize and lead engineering/technical workshops to define scope requirements to ensure the tender/contract-rig gaps are identified, captured, and acted upon.Attend rig visits and shipyards/project sites to conduct condition evaluation surveys and detailed investigations with the rig/project team.Key stakeholder in the Stage Gate process for project scope of work reviews/approvals.Present key project information to Sr Project Management to ensure procurement and costs commitments can be made in line with the project timelines.Liaise with the engineering/technical Person in Charge (PIC) to build out the scope of work necessary to bridge the gap between the tendering document and the rig technical specification.EducationBachelor's Degree In Engineering or another related discipline.Experience5+ years experience with drilling contractor, marine or oil and gas engineering firm in projects and technical field support.SkillsAdvanced knowledge of rig operations and systems, project management, engineering methods, applicable codes, and standards.AdditionalThe individual must be able to effectively communicate with internal Marketing, to ensure they are accurately communicated to Sr Executives and Customers.The individual must display superior skills in the coordination of many efforts across various disciplines, in the optimization of project scope, duration, and costs.The individual must be capable of making decisions and recommendations with minimal supervision.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are a requirement to effectively interact with external and internal customers as well as vendors.The individual must be able to travel internationally.Pre-Requisite/Qualification:Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen.Must successfully complete pre-employment background check.If you want to push yourself to great achievement, let Transocean develop your career.
