To learn more about our surrounding location, please visit: .A typical day as an Events and Marketing Coordinator-Part Time-Junior may include:
  • Plans corporate events for all company locations (MD, FL and CA): Longevity ceremonies, company picnics and holiday parties
  • Acts as the main POC for external vendors
  • Organizes events for our Wellness Program, including pop-up activities like flu shot clinics, gym classes, food trucks, etc.
  • Assists with planning base tours and recruiting open houses
  • Creates and maintains quarterly company newsletters
  • Purchases and distributes AMEWAS’ employee birthday gifts
  • Assists with coordination of company lunches
  • Manages and reconciles the events budget
  • Supports additional marketing efforts such as social media campaigns, HR/Recruiting communication materials and editorial website content/updates
Must-haves:
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of professional events or marketing experience
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills with a high attention to detail
  • Aptitude for marketing and events activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience editing and proofreading
  • Experience with Canva or similar graphic design software
  • Ability to travel to attend events at other sites (less than 10%)
Desired Skills:
  • BS Degree
  • Experience managing and reconciling budgets
  • Experience with WordPress or similar web content management system
Skills Crucial to Success at AMEWAS:Candidates must have a customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion, and have the ability to work effectively with both management, and as part of a team, to meet project targets.Physical Environment and Working Conditions:The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
