- Maintain student, office, and accounting files
- Coordinate special events and projects
- Send out regular communications to families
- Coordinate process of finding substitute teachers
- Provide oversight to volunteers
- Oversee school meal program.
- Manage phone coverage, including answering phones directly and managing volunteer staff.
- Manage communication to the school community through SchoolMessenger
- Delegate key tasks to an administrative assistant; support high-quality completion
- Manage student records, including updating daily attendance in PowerSchool, monthly attendance reports, and printing grades from Illuminate.
- Work with Envision Education Support Office staff to create reports to support meeting state and federal compliance requirements.
- Administer procedures for accounts payable, monthly timesheets for payroll, and other financial activities.
- Provide budget-tracking support for the Principal.
- Manage state reporting of student data through CALPADS.
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years directly related experience in an educational setting, or a non-profit organization.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment independently and as a team member is required.
- Experience working successfully with children, parents and families, especially African American, Latino, Arabic, and immigrant families
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, accuracy, discretion, and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Must have proven attention to detail and time-management skills. Must be organized, detail oriented and able to multitask.
- Experience supervising other staff is a plus. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Google spreadsheets, Gmail, Google Documents) - are necessary. Experience with PowerSchool or another information database system is strongly preferred.
