- Must be able to work the required shift. In some cases, the business may require additional hours/weekend support based on business demands and project needs.

- Demonstrate the ability to apply technical competency, methods, practices, etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret conversion documentation and installation.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical installation packages.
- Proficiency with the following tools: digital multimeters, associated hand tools, levels and jacks, calipers and micrometers, surface plates, etc.
- Must be self-motivated, work independently, and be able to work for extended periods at different customer sites.
- Requires the ability to have excellent project management skills by being able to meet project timelines, keep service activities organized, being able to prioritize tasks, and be flexible with tasks as the customer environment may change or evolve while actively servicing project work.
- Must be able to follow instructions or directions.
- Must be able to travel internationally and domestically up to 80% of the time and with short notice based on business needs.
- Complete assigned formal and OJT with the goal of instrument certification
- Manage and maintain traveling inventory according to department policy and procedure.
- Protect and maintain company property.
- Pick up and return messages and service calls from customers in a manner meeting service department policies.
- Maintain appropriate records of all work performed and training received.
- Portray professionalism and pride in appearance while conforming to company policies.
- Provide a positive attitude to all employees and customers.

- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical principles.

- Ability to perform service calls (Preventive Maintenance and Repairs) on one or more models of a product line (measured by instrument certification)
- Knowledge and understanding of physics and chemistry.
- Ability to work from schematics using various test equipment and mathematical calculations specific to electronics.
- Ability to effectively interface with customers and service department personnel.
- Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English effectively.
- Experience using digital volt meters, oscilloscopes, hand tools, and computers
- Experience reading electrical schematic
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
- Must be open to possible travel to Japan for 2 months of training.
- Eligible to be added to customer’s insurance.
- Must have and retain a valid driver’s license in the resident State.
- Eligible to acquire a passport.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to see small objects within a confined area.
- Ability to quickly transport from location to location using various means of transport
- Ability to transport parts and/or tools from car to equipment site.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds frequently.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Hand-eye coordination at a level to support a range of delicate activities.
