QUALITY LIAISON (1st Shift) - Lansing, MI.
Contract position
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on proven work history)1st Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday-Friday (weekends required as needed)Summary of the Quality Liaison:
A quality liaison acts as a focal point for customer problems, questions, or concerns. They coordinate with the proper company personnel to provide timely and accurate answers for the customers. This position requires good people skills.Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality Liaison :
  • On-site quality representation for Automotive Supplier Clients.
  • Attendance at all Customer quality and warranty meetings.
  • Attendance at all Customer engineering and vehicle launch meetings.
  • Direct involvement with Customer quality and engineering teams in understanding quality concerns, data collection, measurement analysis and root cause identification.
  • Direct involvement with Customer quality and engineering teams in establishing Interim Containment Actions.
  • Direct involvement with Client quality and engineering teams to understand and establish Permanent Corrective Actions.
  • Communication with Client and Customer teams to present Client actions and countermeasures to address identified quality concerns.
  • Interaction with Customer production teams and managers in the production environment.
  • Understand, adhere to and practice safety guidelines in the production environment.
  • Work and communicate within the Quality Strategies teams to develop team concepts, goals, and directions to increase efficiency and professionalism.
Skills and Experience required of the Quality Liaison:
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing environments
  • Associate degree in related field or work experience equal to degree level, preferred
  • Proficient in basic computer programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in the creation, development and charting of data related to automotive quality engineering quality aspects.
  • Ability to use, read and understand measurement tools related to the automotive quality field, such as micrometers, calipers, scales, and force gages.
  • Outstanding communication skills in both presentation and the ability to listen, understand and follow through on directions communicated by Client, Customer and Quality Strategies management teams.
