The Apple Maps Quality Team supports maps-wide metrics which provide a holistic view of Apple Maps' product quality. We partner with Data Infrastructure, Data Insights and other Engineering teams to ensure that we report metrics that are based on the highest quality data possible. We are looking for a Tools and Automation Engineer who will be responsible for the delivery and execution of tests used to perform analytics and acceptance/regression testing. Our ultimate goal is shipping a global map experience to millions of users that is the best in class!Key Qualifications Key Qualifications
  • Tools and Automation experience in a Quality/Testing environment
  • Demonstrated experience scripting solutions for repetitive tasks (using tools such as Python, Bash, etc)
  • Knowledge of common protocols (JSON, Protobuf, REST)
  • Strong problem solving skills with an ability to diagnose & debug issues
  • Proven experience executing and managing test case results using clear and concise reports
  • Ability to decompose complex business problems
  • Aptitude to independently learn new technologies & bring that passion to the organization
Description DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for working closely with developers to help test analytics generated on the Maps client-side. You'll develop analysis around product metrics data, and ensure the data meets high quality standards. You will be producing test documents, executing/analyzing, bug triaging, leading testing procedures, leveraging automation and ensuring the success of new feature development. The ideal candidate must also be an effective advocate with strong communication & organizational skills as this role requires close partnership with cross-functional engineering and product teams for highly technical discussions.Education & Experience Education & ExperienceBS/MS desired. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
