Maritime and Coastal Client Relationship Manager

- Assist with market planning and strategy for the Maritime & Coastal (M&C) Sector in the Northeast Region, including understanding connections to GHD's transportation, water, environment, and energy strategies with a focus on Port and municipal Clients.
- Create new client opportunities for M&C, assist in the nurturing of existing and future clients, and lead business development initiatives that further the growth of M&C.
- Lead and assist with identification of business development opportunities for GHD, in both M&C and other market sectors as related.
- Lead and assist proposal efforts for M&C opportunities (or other market sectors) with support from GHD's pursuits team.
- Lead and/or participate in technical and multi-discipline teams delivering M&C projects. Support and/or coordinate with cross-discipline teams on other market sector projects, as requested.
- Be versed in the latest Ports / M&C market trends, client spending, assets, challenges, resiliency, and logistics.
- Work within GHD's four Core Values: Safety, Teamwork, Trust, and Integrity.
- Involve yourself in local committees, action groups, and special interest organizations, with a view towards furthering your own skills, developing new client relationships, and creating brand recognition for GHD.
- Stay current with technical qualifications and licenses, as applicable.
- Lead by example and mentor other aspiring professionals in GHD's M&C market and beyond.
- High level of Port / M&C industry knowledge, relationships, and intel on future projects and client needs.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse range of professionals from engineers to partners and clients, in person and remotely.
- Strong communication skills in writing, verbally, and formally (presentations).
- Motivated as well as goal and action oriented.
- Willingness to travel to client meetings, industry events, and project sites.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), Project Management software, and other digital systems.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to safety.
- Min. B.Sc. degree in Science, Engineering, or Related Field
- 15 plus years of previous experience with port and maritime projects
- Preferred to have direct working experience with one or more Port organizations in the Northeast U.S.
