Lead Engineer Alignment The Role SYSTRA is currently hiring for Lead Engineer having 10+ years' experience is Railway projects. The position requires leading the major Rail infrastructure Projects. The post-holder may also act as Lead Engineer, as directed on specific projects and lead projects to ensure project budgets and programs are achieved. A strong technical knowledge is required, to provide guidance to other members of the Team and take an active role in maintaining and improving quality design processes. Ensuring safe design practices are adhered to and demonstrated within designs is essential. Main Duties Expertise and experience in all aspects of permanent way design and the delivery of multi-disciplinary railway projects. Good knowledge and understanding of track standards, processes and procedures. Identification of risks and opportunities with Study of tender documents and prepare technical queries. Well conversant with Optimisation and Value Engineering ideas and Techniques. Knowledge of Bentley OpenRail Designer or Autodesk Civil 3D working within a BIM environment and ensuring procedural compliance Proficient with Yard Layout Design & Geometric regression analysis. Achieve personal and project targets including utilization, delivering projects to budget and program Should be able to take up technical coordination with various disciplines for efficient delivery of the project. Responsible to lead all types of projects such Detail Design, Pre-bids, Feasibility etc. Excellent client interface and communication skills. Promote and maintain good relationships with all internal and external parties to enhance the reputation of the Team and the company Experience B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, Transportation etc.) 10+ years of working experience in a design environment on a range of civil engineering infrastructure projects that could include, rail infrastructure. Skilled user of Bentley OpenRail Designer or Civil 3D. Detailed knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with Alignment design Detailed knowledge of construction principles and standards including Rail Alignment Design Codes (AREMA/UIC/EN) Good knowledge of the application of safety standards including CDM and CSM-RA CRM: Ability to build and maintain client relationships Must have strong time-management skills and ability to multitask and maintain focus and discipline.
