Collaborate closely with colleagues in the investments and technology division, leveraging your design expertise to create applications that drive real business impact, enhance our financial performance, and give the company a competitive advantage in the financial markets.This position is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled designer specializing in data-heavy, content-rich, and data-streaming applications. Your primary responsibility will be designing user interfaces that present complex data in a clear and user-friendly manner. Drawing upon your proficiency in data visualization and information hierarchy, you will craft interfaces that empower users to make well-informed decisions based on data insights.In this role, Figma will be your go-to tool for crafting wireframes, mockups, and design assets. You will work closely with a diverse team, including data analysts, product managers, developers, traders, quants researchers, and financial analysts, ensuring that your designs align seamlessly with project requirements.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial. You will conduct user research and usability testing to gather invaluable feedback, continuously iterating on designs to optimize user experiences and productivity.   • UI/UX Design: Create user-friendly, responsive, and visually appealing web application designs that align with project requirements.
  • Mockup Creation: Utilize Figma as your primary design tool to create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design assets.
  • User Research: Conduct user research to understand user behavior, preferences, and pain points, and incorporate your findings into design decisions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with project goals.
  • Design Documentation: Prepare design documentation, style guides, standard guides and design assets for development teams.
  • Stay Updated: Stay up to date with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design quality with the firm.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Figma is required.
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a portfolio showcasing data-heavy application design projects.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and concepts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a nice-to-have.
