Then this apprentice internship might be interesting to you!Background informationIn the group of Wafer Defectivity at ASML, we try to minimize the amount of dust particles deposited onto silicon wafers, which can result in the final product: the computer chip (partially) not working. We search for the particle sources in our NXE system and find structural solutions so that issues don't reoccur.Your assignmentIn this assignment you will support the team in the fundamental field of particle bouncing to better understand the particle transport in our products. Your responsibilities will be 50% theoretical work and 50% applied work.Your tasks may include but not limited to:Conduct a literature review on particle bouncing (academic work and practical work) with the goal to compile existing information and identify knowledge gaps;Support senior engineers in conducting relevant experiments to compare with literature;Do the data analysis and evaluate the findings;Report the results to several stakeholders within ASML.Your profileTo be a match for this project, you:Are busy with your Master's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or Applied Physics;Are comfortable with practical and theoretical work;Are self-driven and intrinsically motivated for this internship;Have an analytical mindset and good communication skills in English (verbal and written).This is an apprentice internship for 5 days a week with a duration of 3-6 months. The start date is as soon as possible.Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work.
