Job SummaryResponsible for all aspects of The Nutrition Care Process. Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients in accordance with The Dietitian Practice Act and National Standards of Care as identified by professional Dietetic and Nutrition Support Organizations. Implement appropriate patient centered nutrition interventions and goals. Leads the patient care team in development and implementation of nutrition plan of care. Communicate with patients, patient family members and other members of the health care team in a timely, professional and effective manner. Provide guidance in The Nutrition Care Process and manage per Provider ordered protocols the delivery of Medical Nutrition Therapy including the provision of specialized nutrition support (enteral and parenteral nutrition). Evaluate systematically the quality, safety, appropriateness and effectiveness of specialized nutrition therapies in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Precept Dietetic Interns. Assist in quality improvement initiatives to support departmental and organizational goals.
