- Develop strategies and lead the commercial contracting negotiations and implementation for the travel categories consistent with business requirements
- Proactively identify areas of opportunity and develop strategies to leverage spend;
- Work closely with supported businesses to drive cost effective buying behaviors
- Bring innovative supplier solutions and technologies to enhance value proposition
- Manage supplier performance and maintain interface at senior levels of supplier organizations
- Ensure that processes are consistent with the necessary regulatory and legal requirements.
- Expertise in Corporate travel management (market, travel management companies, carriers, service providers, processes, procedures, etc.)
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Commercial and contractual skills in both pre-award and post-award phases with knowledge of contract terms & conditions
- Negotiating skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Identifies and champions innovative solutions and continuous improvement
- Communication and facilitative skills
- Deliver training
- Ability to bring teams together to achieve targets and goals, including cost savings
- B.S. Degree in Business, or related field.
- At least five years' experience in commercial or corporate travel management role
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with key suppliers and/or business partners
- Strong data analytics capabilities, including proficiency in Excel based analytics such as pivot tables and other advanced functions.
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering presentations to senior management stakeholders.
