Electrician

• Responsible for maintenance support of electrical & electronic equipment used in the heat shrink tubing manufacturing processes.
• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance repair activities (up to 600V) as required on all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment within the manufacturing plant.
• Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, testing, calibration, configuration and maintenance of instrumentation, computer, electronic & electrical equipment.

• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment as directed based on a CMMS plan.
• Document maintenance activities performed on CMMS generated work orders.
• Understand, observe, and comply with company's health and safety rules & regulations, lockout procedures and OSHA guidelines.

• Continue to upgrade skills as related to the job by attending relevant seminars & courses.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) -relevant measures to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace.
• Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile.

• Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• As required, provide training to new and/or junior employees with a focus on performing work in a safe, efficient, quality-minded manner.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

• Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area using the 5S principles.
• Other duties as assigned my management.

• Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

• Knowledge of PLCs, Drive Controllers, HMI touch screen and programming software.
• Ability to detect technical malfunctions and apply sound solutions for repair.
• Knowledge of and ability to use machine shop tools and equipment, having a strong mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
• Basic understanding of CMMS programs.

• Standing for sustained periods of time.

• Making substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Frequently lifting and/or moving spools weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb and stoop, kneel or crouch.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment required.

• Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification preferred.
• PLC Programming Certificate of Qualification preferred.

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
• Noise level is usually moderate to high.
