- Collects epidemiologic data through laboratory audit and medical record reviews in multiple health system.
- Enters, manages, and cleans surveillance and study data in databases such as REDCap, SendSS, Access, etc.
- Analyzes data in software packages such as SAS or R.
- Produces data, reports, and presentations for external partners, as well as for internal use.
- Retrieves, transports, and accessions packaged laboratory specimens.
- Communicates with medical facilities to collect and verify epidemiologic information and specimens.
- Conducts telephone interviews and supports special studies. Performs related program area responsibilities as required.
- May act as lead on a specific study activity.
- Complies with all ethical guidelines for scientific and human subjects research.
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field from an accredited school.
- Epidemiology specialty preferred OR Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program with two or more years of direct experience conducting infectious disease surveillance and epidemiologic analyses.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills required.
- Medical record experience preferred.
- Database management experience preferred.
- SAS and/or R experience preferred.
- Power BI experience desirable.
- EIP or health department experience desirable.
