In a processing environment, perform some or all of the following duties: data preparation/receiving, data entry, online reject correction, reconcilement, balancing, printing, statement preparation and returns. May also perform tasks such as encoding transit checks and POD documents per client requirements.About the team:Our FIS Data Control team does branch captures and third-party file processing for over 30 banks for which we reconcile, balance and transmit, transit items, core files, posting files and reports for these banks. We have a very dynamic work environment as our balancing and reconciliation are done in real time. We have a conducive work environment with a dynamic, dedicated and supportive staff.What you will be doing:In this role you will be working in a processing environment, where you will perform one of the following duties: data preparation/receiving, data entry, online reject repair, balancing, dispatch, printing, rendering, check filing, bookkeeping, statement preparation and returns. You may also perform tasks such as encoding transit checks and POD documents per client requirements.
- Balance transactions and reconcile bank clients daily work
- 10-Key, data entry and balancing on Windows based pc applications
- Receives and prepares physical documents for delivery to the sorting department.
- Performs online reject-repair using a CRT and physical documents
- Compares work product with word standards for accuracy.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
- 1 year of data control/encoding experience
- 1 year working as a Data Control Associate
- Capacity to lift or move up to 30 pounds
- Proficient written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/clients
- Knowledge of procedures used to segregate and distribute output
- Knowledge of balancing and correction procedures
- Proficient in entering data into various PC software packages
- Proficient in classifying computer output
- Knowledge to operate a computer effectively and utilize software packages required by the position
- Proficiency to encode 1,000-1,500 items per hour
- Banking (preferably teller or operations experience)
- Billing Experience
