Job Description:Database Administrator - SeniorPlease Note: This position is pending a contract award. If you are interested in a future with Cherokee Federal, APPLY TODAY! Although this is not an approved position, we are accepting applications for this future and anticipated need.Cherokee Nation Operations Solutions (CNOS) is seeking a skilled Database Administrator (Senior) with a military medical background to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems, along with at least four (4) years of database administration experience. Additionally, the candidate should have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, with at least three (3) of those years in a healthcare environment. A Security+ (Plus) Certification is required. The Database Administrator (Senior) will be responsible for the management and maintenance of databases to ensure data security, integrity, and accessibility, particularly in a healthcare environment.Compensation & Benefits:
  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Database Administrator - Senior: Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.

Database Administrator - Senior Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools.
  • Monitor database performance and tune database parameters to ensure efficient operation.
  • Perform database backups and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement database solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including database schemas, configurations, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and colleagues on database-related matters.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in database management and healthcare IT.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Database Administrator - Senior Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems.
  • Four (4) years of database administration experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of overall experience, with at least three (3) years in a healthcare environment.
  • Security+ (Plus) Certification required.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
