- Assesses patients initially on admission to the unit and continually according to patient needs, condition change, or unit/department standards
- Serves as an advocate for patient/family/SO regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care.
- Meets the needs of the dying patient and family to include pain management, emotional and spiritual support
- Develops, implements, and modifies the patient’s plan of care according to the patient’s progress
- Demonstrates knowledge of specific disease process (diabetes, respiratory, endocrine, neurological, renal), treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity, patient’s needs, condition, impairment, or disability
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing Required
- Minimum of one-year experience in specialty unit preferred
- Valid California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
