Performs difficult professional engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required.There are multiple vacancies in various departments in the City and County of Honolulu:
  • Two vacancies with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, one with the Capital Projects Division, Construction Branch, and one with the Field Operations - Technical and Operational Support Branch.
  • Two vacancies in the Department of Environmental Services, Collection System Maintenance Division with telecommuting and alternate schedule opportunities available.

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of non-registered professional civil engineering experience.LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
1. Possession of a valid license as a professional civil engineer in the State of Hawaii.Applicants with a current out-of-state professional civil engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.Verification Requirement: You must submit a copy of your professional civil engineer license (Hawaii or out-of-state).
