As a BIM Specialist, you play an integral role in creating quality apartments for our residents to call home for years to come. You will work with our team in new construction, building apartments from the ground up. To be successful in this role you must be reliable, detail-oriented, and communicate effectively.What you will do:· Lead Building Envelope detailing for the facade and occupied roof design in line with engineering team, building code, vendors, procurement team, site and warehouse through BIM and document markup for coordination.· Check, communicate, and revise construction documents for ADA paths where needed.· Draft curtain wall, door and window flashing, insulation termination, EIFS, overhang cladding, and occupied roof details.· Assist design team on building renderings and incorporate the design intent into construction documents.· Incorporate R values needed per code and energy analysis to ensure a secure building envelope.· Take part in research and development of finishing prefabricated wall panels with supplies, engineers, and warehouse teams.· Use Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to lead building envelope detailing.· Utilize the following tools and technologies: Autodesk Revit, Strucsoft MWF, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Autodesk BIM360.· Position allows work from home anywhere in the United States. Requirements:· The position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Architecture or closely related field.· The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience in a BIM specialist position, architectural drafter position, or closely related occupation.· The qualified candidate must also have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience with all of the following: (a) drafting and revising architectural designs to align with customer feedback; (b) conducting research and development of project design processes; (c) leading collaborative BIM efforts between the design team, engineering team, and 3rd party vendors; (d) ensuring that internal standards and external code standards are met; (e) drafting detailed construction plans; and (f) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Autodesk Revit, Strucsoft MWF, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Autodesk BIM360.· All experience may be gained concurrently.Benefits:
