Job Title: Electrical EngineerLocation: Elgin, ILTarget Pay Rate: $85K-$95KThe ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in electrical engineering, with expertise in machinery programming, wiring installations, and electrical safety implementation. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project standards and support the business's operational needs.Responsibilities:
  • Project Support: Collaborate with other engineers and technical disciplines to develop specifications and designs for electricians, ensuring project standards and deliverables are met.
  • Operational Support: Provide technical support for operational needs, including supplier management, parts requisitions, contractor time tracking, and asset management.
  • Compliance: Ensure key systems for base support functions remain compliant with regulations, including NEC code compliance and electrical safety standards.
  • Remote Facilities: Assist in supporting remote facilities as required, with anticipated travel of 10-20%.
  • On-call Support: Provide on-call, second-level support to electricians during 2nd and occasional 3rd shifts as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, including reporting of issues to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop jointly supported standards for the organization.
  • Continuously enhance technical and professional competencies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Five plus years of machinery programming experience.
  • Hands-On wiring installations and familiarity with NEC code compliance.
  • Safely troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Experience with electrical safety implementation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge in the food/nut industry is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in Rockwell Logix Family Programming.
  • Ability to interpret schematics.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Basic Network Design skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
