- Organization and management of all purchasing functions supporting projects within the Midwest Region
- Managing the daily activities of sourcing/day to day bidding for materials, and project purchases
- Managing local contracts including administering, negotiating, reviewing, renewal, filing, and evaluating procured materials for availability, price, term, and is consistent with the quality and service required.
- Oversee purchases, services to support current and upcoming projects
- Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels
- Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history
- For critical materials vetting multiple vendors or providers to improve efficiency and offset potential delays
- Works with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts
- Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions
- Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other related Degree
- 5+ years of purchasing experience
- Purchasing experience on construction projects, large scale purchasing.
- Purchasing experience for commercial, mission critical or industrial projects is required.
- Experience in Electrical construction preferred, but not required.
