The Teacher Assistant will provide supervision, care, and instructional support for Approved Private School serving preschool-aged children.Essential responsibilities include assisting the PDE certified classroom Teacher with all lessons and activities, providing personal care, taking data, organizing and supervising children in the classroom and on the playground, and general support of children throughout the day. The successful candidate must have the ability to assist the classroom Teacher with working on educational goals and implementing strategies as well as assisting with the daily routine of implementing the preschool program in a safe environment. This position involves the school year plus a 5 or 6 week summer program.Strong communication skills, high energy, and desire to have fun with children in a team setting a must! This position provides an excellent opportunity to be employed within a well-established program as part of our support team working with children with disabilities.Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED required
College credits in education or related field a plus.
CDA or willingness to obtain CDA a plus.
Prior experience working with preschool-aged children, children with disabilities, or experience supporting children with complex medical needs a plus.
