Job Description:Wood's Consulting business is currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Draftsperson to join our Design and Drafting Team in Houston, Texas (Energy Corridor).This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team that supports a variety of clients, projects, and internal business partners by providing project deliverables and design solutions using industry leading parametric modelling software.Responsibilities:
  • Create/modify 3D parametric models of subsea system components such as jumpers, PLET's, PLEM's, manifolds, etc.
  • Create/modify drawing deliverables for the purposes of concept, FEED, and detailed design as required by project(s)
  • Effectively plan and execute required drafting support for project that have been assigned.
  • Engage with project personnel to deliver drawings on schedule and within a defined budget.
  • Maintain status awareness of project(s) drawings and coordinate delivery with other disciplines within design team.
  • Participate in project/discipline meetings and workshops.
  • Provide input to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize proper CADD (Computer Aided Drafting and Design) data management practices per company processes and procedures.
  • Share lessons learned with design team and project teams.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of working experience of Autodesk Inventor, version 2018 or newer is required
  • 5+ Subsea design experience involving manifolds, PLEMS, PLETS, jumpers, Subsea Structures etc.
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of AutoCAD, version 2016 or newer
  • 5+ years of structural/mechanical design experience
  • Familiarity of subsea vendor equipment (including but not limited to FMC, OneSubsea, Trendsetter hardware, such as valves, connectors, controls equipment) a strong asset
  • Working knowledge of and use of NAVISWORKS Manage or Freedom
  • Working experience of Autodesk Vault 2016 data management an asset
  • Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Self-motivated and requiring minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to plan, prioritize and solve challenging problems.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, TEAMS).
  • Must be a US citizen, or authorized to work lawfully in the US, without sponsorship from Wood
