This pivotal role champions our Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, ensuring adherence to governmental and internal safety standards that safeguard our team and our processes.   • PSM Compliance Mastery: Serve as the vanguard of PSM programs, driving full compliance through meticulous tracking, reporting, and ongoing enhancement of safety measures.
  • Educational Leadership: Elevate our safety culture by developing and disseminating comprehensive PSM training and materials, engendering a deep understanding of compliance responsibilities across all levels of staffing.
  • SOP and P&ID Innovation: Craft and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for both existing operations and new ventures, ensuring accuracy and regulatory harmony.
  • Documentation Excellence: Diligently manage all plant PSM documentation, from procedural alignments with regulations (OSHA, EPA) to the creation of incident manuals and Risk Management Plans (RMP).
Essential Qualifications:
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of three years direct experience in Safety or PSM roles.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, PSM, and EPA mandates, with a knack for navigating and enforcing these standards.
  • Communication Proficiency: Exceptional skills in verbal and written communication, adept at developing and delivering impactful training content.
  • Interpersonal Agility: Ability to foster strong relationships across all company levels, demonstrating poise and effective decision-making in high-pressure situations.
  • Organizational Savvy: Proven ability to manage tight deadlines, with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving prowess.
  • Tech Literacy: Fluent in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry Experience: Prior engagement in food manufacturing settings, especially within the poultry sector.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with USDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety (SQF) principles.
  • System Proficiency: Experience with SAP.
  • Health and Safety Acumen: Basic First Aid and CPR awareness.
