With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303Responsibilities of the Mental Health Professional I include but are not limited to: Under general supervision, performs a variety of secretarial duties, exercises good judgement in the application of established office practices and procedures for the Child and Adolescent Services program. Greets and directs patients. Performs all duties in a culturally sensitive manner. Follows all SAMHC and DoFS policies and procedures. Maintains compliance with state, Local, and Federal Corporate Compliance laws.
  • Provides complex administrative and secretarial duties in a courteous and respectful manner for the Child and Adolescent Services (CAF) professional staff.
  • Assists all patients and visitors from the front lobby to the appropriate waiting area.
  • Opens new patients as required into CIS system ensuring that insurance and demographics are accurate.
  • Assists with paperwork as neccessary.
State Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.Agency Minimum Requirements:
