About The Role:We are currently looking for an Account Executive, RDN (Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist) to join our Consumer team in Chicago, with a focus on accounts in the food, health and nutrition space. You will succeed at Zeno if you are fearless, media-savvy, resourceful, tenacious, and can drive great programs and results while building strong, productive relationships with your clients and your team. \nResponsibilities:
  • Actively participate in brainstorms.
  • Assist in research, development and writing of program plans.
  • Assist with building thoughtful activation plans that will break through with food & lifestyle press and media-able RDs.
  • Assist with new business proposals and attend new business pitches and meetings as necessary.
  • Assist with trendspotting and compiling food and nutrition trend updates for agency and client audiences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with restaurant/CPG/QSR beat reporters, food and wellness lifestyle media, emerging media outlets and media-able RDs/fitness experts.
  • Build knowledge of food & nutrition-focused tradeshows, such as FNCE, to contribute to client and agency event strategies; attend select tradeshows and build recaps for agency and client audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with client and vendor contacts and proactively manage correspondence.
  • Coach AAEs and interns and demonstrate ability to supervise and delegate tasks as necessary.
  • Communicate with your account team to keep them abreast of timelines and deadlines.
  • Compile media results for clients (Experience with managing coverage trackers for your teams preferred.)
  • Contribute to, and attend, new business pitches in the position of nutrition expert.
  • Craft thoughtful pitches and build/maintain media lists for accounts (Experience with Cision and/or Muckrack preferred.)
  • Develop and manage media relations programs spanning consumer, trade, business and vertical press including but not limited to food/beverage, lifestyle, technology, etc.
  • Develop recipes for select food clients that align with nutrition and ingredient trends.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Plan and implement press conferences, seminars, speakers' bureau, and other special events.
  • Practice effective project management while working with other team members and show an understanding of the “big picture” of client programs.
  • Provide counsel to Zeno teams and clients on nutrition benefits of products and nutrition topics in the news.
  • Pull nutrition data for client-provided recipes leveraging software provided by agency.
  • Research, interview, write, and edit media materials such as: news releases, fact sheets, pitches, message maps and other media materials as needed.
  • Support social media efforts.
  • Understand general principles of business and marketing and the role of PR in communications.
  • Understand key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace.
Qualifications:
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination before start date. Candidates may request accommodation due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief or an exception required under applicable law.
  • MS, RD preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in consumer or brand PR.
  • Demonstrated the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and the ability to “think on your feet” and respond quickly as business factors shift.
  • Digitally savvy, personally and professionally. You understand that any client program should be rounded out with social elements in today's world.
  • Driven and detail-oriented, and you possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and successfully meet deadlines.
  • Earned a Bachelor's degree.
  • Love media relations and building strong relationships with reporters in the Consumer/Lifestyle/Travel vertical.
  • Organized, and you manage time effectively.
  • Thrive in a close team environment.
  • Writing skills are exceptional.
\n$42,000 - $63,000 a yearPay range: $42,000 - $63,000/year USD.An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
