If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.We are currently seeking a Director, Desktop Engineering to join our team in LA County, CA, California (US-CA), United States (US).Overview:The Director of Desktop Engineering is responsible for the strategic direction of Desktop Engineering in support of business needs. The role will lead a team of Desktop Engineers and Desktop Support Analysts in the design, maintenance and support of all desktop technologies and users across multiple physical and remote locations. The Director of Desktop Engineering works closely with IT and business teams to align IT initiatives with business goals.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and support of all desktop infrastructure across multiple physical sites and remote locations
  • Manage a team of Desktop Engineers, providing technical leadership, strategic direction, delegation of responsibility and identifying and providing staff development
  • Research, propose and implement enhancements to the desktop infrastructure to meet company objectives
  • Responsible for the delivery of Desktop Engineering projects on time and within budget
  • Develop relationships with business stakeholders soliciting feedback on ways to improve support services and better align with business priorities
  • Work with IT stakeholders, pursuing opportunities to leverage technology to achieve IT objectives
  • Introduce and leverage industry standard reporting metrics through usage of KPI's, SLA's and OLA's
  • Compile weekly, quarterly and annual reports and metrics. Report out to management and customers
  • Create and implement policies and procedures to maintain efficient operations
  • Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure and Information Security teams to improve and enhance desktop security
  • Work to continuously improve Desktop Engineering processes by providing new and innovative ideas to increase automation, add value and ensure quality customer service
  • Periodic travel will be required
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years proven experience, designing, building and maintaining desktop technology infrastructure.
  • 5+ years in Desktop/End User Services management positions of increasing responsibility.
  • 3 years' experience supporting government clients.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification required.
  • Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting and maintaining desktop, endpoints, and users.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, managing and maintaining IT Service Management tools.
