- Develop and implement effective environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Evaluate existing safety policies and procedures, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to RoHS, REACH, TSCA, conflict minerals and other environmental regulations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Develop strategies and initiatives to mitigate risks and create a safer working environment.
- Stay current on all relevant environmental health and safety regulations.
- Ensure the organization's adherence to applicable laws and standards.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental compliance.
- Facilitate ongoing safety awareness campaigns to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses.
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Coordinate and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to manage environmental aspects of the organization, including ewaste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus.
- 3 + years experience as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state and key international environmental regulations (including TSCA, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and conflict mineral regulations)
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Requires 1 day a week onsite at our Corvallis OR office, 3-4 days onsite at our Hillsboro OR Facility.
