Customer Account Manager (Inside Sales)

- Solicit and negotiate new sales via phone conversations
- Understand shipping lanes and fill truckloads accordingly
- Maintain a high energy level with attention to detail
- Understand costing and quoting of products in a manufacturing setting as well as manufacturing process flow
- Be proficient with computer skills (advanced Excel knowledge is preferred)
- Provide product technical support and product upselling to the customer
- Interact with the plant production scheduling teams daily to manage customer requirements and communicate customer quality concerns
- Identify problems and apply continuous improvement processes and methodologies to create solutions
- Partner with Outside Sales team and Marketing Managers on new and existing products to gain knowledge of Guardian's vast array of value-added product offerings
- Order processing, inventory management, pricing, stocking plans, and accounts receivable
- Experience in a Customer Account Management related field
- Experience navigating customer relationships with proven ability to handle difficult conversations
- Advanced Excel skills (V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
- Experience preparing and analyzing databases and spreadsheets to make business decisions and recommendations to senior leadership
- Understanding of manufacturing process flow
