- Provides high level of administrative and clerical support to the department.
- Undertakes special projects to meet the objectives of the function.
- Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously, and follow-up on issues in a timely manner.
- Follows the university rules and regulations.
- Receives, stores and issues goods.
- Manages stock level and records stock movement.
- Organizes inventory in the stock room.
- Enters information on the on-line purchasing system.
- Confirms vendor receipt of purchase order.
- Checks actual inventory against computerized records.
- Monitors movement of supplies.
- Communicates delivery issues, shortages and price discrepancies to the Manager.
- Advises Manager in devising new ways to reduce and maintain inventory control.
- Prepares periodic and special reports.
- Undertakes other duties as required by the Manager- Purchasing.
