- Troubleshoot and maintain programmable logic controllers.
- Work overtime as needed and or required on weekdays and weekends to ensure all plant equipment is repaired and maintained in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Must have basic understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and welding skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical and electronic equipment with minimum amount of supervision.
- Maintain and repair other associated equipment as directed.
- Be proficient in the use of basic hand tools and power tools.
- Perform any and all duties as required and instructed by Supervisors.
- Working knowledge of 120, 208, 240 and 480 VAC circuits.
- Working knowledge of DC voltages and circuits.
- Working knowledge of circuit breakers, line diagrams, schematics and blue prints.
- Proper use volt/ohm meter, megohmmeter, analog and digital meters.
- How to properly install 120 VAC male plugs, female cord caps, receptacles, light switches motors.
- Have working use and knowledge of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers and channel locks.
- Ability to work in wide range of temperatures to include less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours
- Working knowledge of computers and PLC’s. Good troubleshooting skills, verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely, develop working relationship with production, maintenance and managers.
- Willingness to learn, accept responsibility and work with little or no supervision.
- May occasionally be required to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience or one year electrician experience or training/certification equivalent is required.
- Documented technical training preferred.
