- Evaluate existing structures to determine their ability to accommodate new loads.
- Design modifications to existing facilities.
- Support piping, lifting, and rigging industrial equipment.
- Analyze portions of existing structures to assess load-bearing capacity.
- Assist in designing rigging plans for equipment.
- Collaborate with the drafting and design team to hand off plans.
- Optimize work opportunities, including boiler design and support design for new equipment.

- Experience with structural steel, concrete, and masonry structures
- Proficiency in documentation control
- Knowledge of seismic design using Equivalent Lateral Force procedures in IBC and ASCE 7
- Experience with MathCAD, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with design codes such as AISC (ASD, LRFD) and ACI
- 5+ years of experience in the design of steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry structures
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Eligibility to be granted a DOE security clearance
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro
- The position is onsite at an industrial plant with a weekly schedule of Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- The work environment includes working within the Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, LLC. (FRNP), which comprises three strong DOE contractors.
