What you’ll get to do:The Senior Enterprise Architect provides expert Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) support to the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team as well as the entire Army Military Pay System Integrator team. You will be accountable for defining and designing enterprise architecture models, modeling systems to explore and document system characteristics, creating effective data and data integration models, and analyzing business needs to deliver solutions in alignment with the Army Military Pay mission strategy while significantly reducing the dependence on traditional documents.More About the Role:Remote – Must reside in the Washington DC areaAct as advisor and liaison between business and technical stakeholders to propose changes to the architecture and organization based on analysis of requirements and new technology.Implement strategic direction and architectural strategy.Develop and maintain DoDAF compliant Systems Viewpoints (SVs) and Data and Information Viewpoints (DIVs) in accordance with the Operational Viewpoints (OVs) developed by the IPPS-A Program Management Office.Support and enhance the Data Dictionary structure comprising the enterprise architecture (EA) repository, mapping repository, and artifact repository (Cameo and Stat).Identify discrepancies between the enterprise technical architecture and systems designs proposed by project teams and assists project teams in resolving the discrepancies.Analyze and extract EA data to create visual presentations (reports, graphs, charts, models) for the different EA focus areas (business, information systems, information technology) as needed.Continuously improve the processes for maintain IPPS-A EA data to ensure high quality and minimal manual effort.Continuously improve the presentation and visualization of information in the Data Dictionary structure for various audiences.Work with other key roles such as Business Analysts, Data Architects, Solution Designers and Builders, Interface developers, DBAs, etc.Participate in periodic collaboration meetings with IPPS-A PMO staff to facilitate the review of EA artifacts and communicate any changes to the architecture.You’ll Bring These Qualifications:15 or more years of IT experience7 or more years of Enterprise Architecture experienceStrong management and coaching skillsKnowledge of all aspects of enterprise architectureKnowledge and Understanding of DoDAF and its application to DoD IT SolutionsAbility to discover and document recommendations for improving the EA and operational infrastructureStrong understanding of relational database concepts and data and process modelingStrong understanding relation and relevance of network and data center architecture, as well as application development methodologies, to Enterprise ArchitectureKnowledge of enterprise architecture fundamentals; exposure to enterprise architecture software tools desiredBasic knowledge of pay and personnel processesStrong knowledge of MBSE modeling patternsExperience with Data Modeling for large, complex enterprise wide systemsStrong knowledge of Cameo Enterprise Architecture toolExperience working as a member of cross-functional Agile Product teams.Experience with ERP architecture and configurationAbility to obtain a DoD Secret clearanceAbility to obtain SAFe Certified Agilist certification within 90 days of startingThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:DoD IT domain knowledgeKnowledge of PeopleSoft COTS Architecture and Configuration.Knowledge of Kafka.Knowledge of Ab Initio.Intermediate to expert experience in Microsoft Excel (charting, graphing, pivot tables), Microsoft Visio (process flow diagrams), Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Share PointIntermediate to expert experience in managing, analyzing, developing, and/or implementing IT solutionsEnterprise Architecture Certification such as TOGAF, DoDAF or FEAF preferredKnowledge of the Agile development processAbility to communicate effectively across multiple constituenciesExcellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiationExcellent analytical and technical skillsExcellent planning and organizational skillsActive DoD Secret ClearanceSAFe Agilist certifiedCompany Overview:CACI is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
