We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Director - Wellness Programming and Communications to join our on-site wellness team based out of Jersey City, NJ.Position Summary:As a Senior Director, Wellness, you will represent Optum to the client and assist client in developing wellness strategy and programming for their employees. You will drive and develop marketing for large strategic initiatives, global campaigns, and companywide programs. You will coordinate all Benefits and Wellness functions with establishment of integrated programming approach and shared best practices. You will set priorities and key targets; analyze and communicate trends in engagement and other pertinent value driven statistics. You will oversee and lead functional leaders and their professional staff. You will work with internal corporate leaders to facilitate functional team support, meet annual goals and budgets, and participate as a member of the Service Delivery Team.What you will do:Strategy and Integration
  • Assist the client’s Wellness Leadership in establishing a coherent wellness vision and strategies that will result in improving the health and resilience of the employee population
  • Coordinate marketing and communication efforts with client’s internal communication team to ensure adherence to the client’s branding requirements and communication protocols
  • Assess population needs to develop appropriate wellness programming based on feedback from employees and client’s designated wellness leads
  • Manage delivery of wellness program utilizing health vendor partners and client offerings and resources
Operational Excellence
  • Monitor, track, forecast, and analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Develop concise and detailed bi-annual reports that accurately reflect the status of programs and achievement of key targets
  • Oversee collection and collation of Benefits and Wellness programs and initiatives across regions
  • Manage administration and delivery of ad-hoc programs based on request requirements
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, health promotion, marketing, exercise science, or a related field
  • At least three years of management experience
  • Minimum five years of work experience in business or health management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and solid business acumen
  • Strategic thinking skills relative to design and delivery of wellness programming in the corporate environment
  • Demonstrated leadership success; evidence of guiding a team to goal attainment
  • Experience in reporting, trend analysis, and communicating at an executive level
  • Effective and engaging public speaking and presentation skills with clients.
  • Competence with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Preferred but not required:
  • Additional senior management experience and/or degree in related field
  • Thorough knowledge of health, fitness, nutrition, exercise, and other wellness principles
  • Experience in contract management
  • Knowledge of internal business, protocols, and systems

Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
