- Accommodations and Student Support: Manages the accommodation process for students, including intake processes, review of supporting information, assignment and approval of reasonable academic accommodations. Coordinate auxiliary services for reasonable accommodations.
- Cross-College Collaboration: Provide guidance to faculty as they integrate academic accommodations for individual students. Provides education to employees about accessibility.
- Supervision and Leadership: Provide oversight and management for the accessibility resource center. Supervise full and part time staff. Manages operational budgets, including grant funds. Provide regular case file review for employees.
- Compliance: Ensure college is providing for the delivery of reasonable academic accommodations and physical accommodations for students in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other lesgislative mandates. Serve as a consultation source for college employees for accessibility-related needs and operations.
- Departmental Support: Provides support to Student Development department operations and initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional development activities offered through the college, through the State Tech System and other regional organizations as appropriate.
