Candidates will be required to have the following to qualify. A two-year degree in the technical field and knowledge of microbiology and chemistry. They will be required to hold a NYSAM License for milk receiving, Appendix N for Beta Lactams, and DMC testing. Applicants will be expected to have computer skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and BPCS/Log Pro inventory management systems. Daily routine tasks will include obtaining samples from processing, packaging lines, and vessels for inspection and testing. Perform chemical, organoleptic, and bacteriological tests on raw, in process and packaged products. Perform allergen and general sanitation testing and validations. Generating formulas for processing department and standardizing when out of compliance. Daily monitoring of batch reporting and batch reporting entry back up when needed. Notifying management of issues in a timely manner. Calibration of lab equipment according to the Master Lab Calibration/Validation List. Generate reports for QC compliance and data inputting into Log Pro/BPCS inventory system and QA Studio. Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements. Keep all work areas neat and clean at all times, to conform to GMP and SQF requirements. Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way. Must stay until job is completed or relieved.
